Physical Education

Physical Education

Physical education plays an integral role within a balanced curriculum offered at Greythorn Primary School. P.E develops pupils’ physical competence, confidence and their ability to use these and perform in a range of activities. It promotes physical skilfulness & development, knowledge of the body in action. P.E at our school provides opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and face up to different challenges as individuals, in groups and teams. It also promotes positive attitudes towards active physical activity and leading healthy lifestyles.

At Greythorn Primary School we believe that by following our school scheme of work and the requirements of the programmes of study, it forms a framework that ties in with our school ethos and philosophy. Areas of study include: Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Swimming, Athletics and Outdoor and Adventurous Activities.
